Library Workshops and Events

Library and Cultural Services offer workshops and events throughout the year to support Essex students and researchers. Workshops and events take place across all three campuses, in-person as well as online, so there’s something for everyone! On this page you will find more information about the sessions we offer, as well as links to other training and support provided by Skills for Success and IT Services .

View our ‘Upcoming Events’ below or keep reading to learn more!

Workshops

Our workshops cover a broad range of academic skills and have been designed to help you achieve better assignment and degree outcomes. These include Research Support events, and our open Workshops at Library sessions that are offered as part of the Academic Skills programme available to current Essex students via CareerHub.

Events

Apart from workshops and skills training, we also run engagement events for the Library Advisory Group and other community groups at Essex. The Arts Team within Library and Cultural Services plan regular events that can be found via the Essex Collection of Art from Latin America and Lakeside Theatre websites.
