Mandela 100 - Library Display
To mark Nelson Mandela’s 100th year, The Albert Sloman Library will be hosting an interactive display featuring a range of books on the topic of Nelson Mandela, apartheid and South Africa. A printed QR code will link to an online Talis reading list.
Visitors to the library can share their thoughts on Nelson Mandela and his impact. This could be through original writing, drawings, or quotes. Contributors will then be encouraged to peg these cards up onto a large picture frame which will be added to the display.
The library whiteboard will pose the question, “What does freedom mean to you?”, and will invite students and staff to use the available coloured pens to share their ideas on the board.
