The publishing process - SOUTHEND CAMPUS In-Person
This interactive workshop will take you through the process of publishing in a journal, from planning to what to do once you have published. The session is aimed at researchers and students who are looking to publish and want to know what to expect when you publish.

The session will take you through some basics like
- How to prepare for publishing
- How to find a good journal to publish in
- How to increase your chances of getting accepted
- The peer review process
We will also talk about the 'dangers' of publishing, like the predatory publishers and citation cartels, and how to avoid these. The session includes a hands on task where participants will plan out how to disseminate their research by using a publication strategy.
This session is open for all students and staff, and the session will take place at Southend.
