Words with... Ore Ogunbiyi In-Person

All are welcome to attend this free event with author Ore Ogunbiyi put on by the Albert Sloman Library, Lakeside Theatre, and Black Students Network! Refreshments will be served at 5pm, followed by a reading from Taking Up Space: The Black Girl’s Manifesto for Changeopen question time, and book signing. Tickets are free but spaces are limited so please book to guarantee your place.


Ore Ogunbiyi is the co-author of Taking Up Space: The Black Girl’s Manifesto for Change and a Nigerian-British Politics and International Relations graduate from Jesus College, Cambridge. Whilst at Cambridge she pioneered the Benin Bronze Repatriation campaign, the #BlackMenofCambridgeUniversity campaign and was President of the African-Caribbean Society. She has since completed a Masters in Journalism at Columbia University, New York and is currently working as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter to the Vice President of Nigeria.
