Newcomers: an introduction to peer reviewing
This session introduces the role of a peer reviewer with an academic journal. Different types of peer review will be explored, and tips and guidance for peer reviewing will be shared.
The session will use the Essex Student Journal, our student-led journal that publishes the work of undergraduate students, as an example for the peer review process. Information will be shared around how PhD students can volunteer with the journal as a peer reviewer. A brief demonstration of using the Essex Student Journal platform as a peer reviewer will be given at the end of the session, and further advice will be signposted toward.
