Newcomers: finding a journal to publish in Online

Newcomers: finding a journal to publish in

Publishing is  large part of the research lifecycle, as it’s a way of disseminating results to a wider community. Knowing how to identify the best outlet for your work is an essential skill for researchers, as it can reduce the amount of time spent on the publishing process.

This session will go through the process of finding the best outlet for your work when you want to get published. In the session we will explore several tools that can be used to identify a journal to publish in. In addition, participants will learn how to spot predatory journals (often called ‘fake journals’) and learn how to avoid these.

At the end of the session participants will be able to ask any questions about publishing in a journal.
