Focus: PGR Support - Open Access Escape Room In-Person
A villain has locked down all the research at the University of Essex, help us unlock it again!
The open access escape room introduces participants to some of the core concepts of open access through a fun, interactive game. In the escape room, participants solve a series of clues and puzzles to unlock different aspects of research and ultimately defeat the villain!

Escape Room = adventure game with the aim to break out of a room by solving various puzzles. Usually has a storyline or theme and usually costs £10-20 per person.
Open Access Escape Room = A fun and FREE adventure game with a storyline around Open Access.
In our Open Access version of this popular adventure game you'll solve a range of puzzles to help us defeat a villain who has locked away all research at Essex. During the game you'll learn about the basics of Open Access and there will be time to ask questions and get more information about Open Access after the game.
You can book as a team (if so, please book all eight available places) or as an individual. If you book as an individual you'll be in a team with others who has also booked individually.
This event will take place in the Special Collections (1st Floor, Colchester Campus Library).
