On Track: Introduction to Special Collections

On Track: Introduction to Special Collections In-Person

 Overview

This session will give you an introduction to special collections and archives and an explanation of why they are useful to researchers. Learn about our collections here at Essex and get tips on finding materials and visiting archives. The library is home to more than 70 individual collections, containing books, documents, and objects. Special collections are for everyone, so join in to find out how you can use them.

Essex students: book your place here!

We encourage students to book onto our workshops via CareerHub in order to keep a record of their learning

Don't have access to CareerHub? You can register below.

It's not a requirement to preregister for our workshops. You can decide to join us on the day in the Special Collections room on the 1st floor of the Library, though do note that for in-person workshops we have limited spaces and priority will be given to those who have booked a space.
