Students Writing for Sustainability (in-person) In-Person

Sustainability is about much more than just the environment, it is "a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity." A first step towards this ambition is to raise awareness to motivate action for change.

The aim of this 45-minute interactive workshop is to engage students as change agents with concepts of sustainability in their assignments, research, and articles for publication. Using the sustainable development goals framework, we will:

  • explore the 3 pillars of sustainability and the sustainable development goals framework
  • extract the environmental, social, and / or economic issues within your writing
  • consider how the sustainable development goals could add a further dimension to your writing

Participants are welcome to bring along examples of their writing or research ideas for discussion purposes.
