Referencing with author-date styles (in-person)

Referencing with author-date styles (in-person) In-Person

 Overview

How to reference properly is something that causes students a lot of stress – but it doesn’t need to be difficult. This highly interactive session will cover referencing with author-date styles (APA, Harvard), constructing both in-text citations and full references in your departmental style, how to use and cite sources within your work, and we'll recap where to find help and support when you need it. This session will build upon our intro to referencing workshop, so while you don't need to attend the intro workshop to attend this one, you may find it helpful if you're new to referencing.

 Key areas covered

  • How to construct both in-text citations and full references in your departmental style
  • How to cite sources within the text of your essay
  • Where to find support from the Library on referencing
