First local meeting of the UKRN (UK Reproducibility Network) Online
UKRN, the national, peer-led UK Reproducibility Network, seeks, among other things, “to understand the factors that contribute to poor research reproducibility and replicability, and develop approaches to counter these, in order to improve the trustworthiness and quality of research". These issues affect all disciplines.
Led by Dr. Paul Hanel, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, our local network of the UKRN is looking to expand and develop. To kick things off, we want to explore whether people feel it would be beneficial for them to chat about best research practices and, at a later stage, also attend or offer relevant training sessions. Some research practices will differ more across disciplines than others, but we can still learn from others, especially where some disciplines seem to be ahead.
If you are interested in open science and related themes, please join our first meeting on 13 November, 3-4pm, on Zoom.
We want to discuss open science practices within each discipline, and consider challenges related to their implementation. Our current plan is to meet once or twice every term, assuming colleagues are interested
This event is open to researchers, postdocs, PGRs, and any staff supporting researchers - a link to register is available below.
