Getting started with secondary analysis

Getting started with secondary analysis Online

Secondary analysis is a method which provides ways for you to expand your research profile and explore new topics without requiring funding or additional time for data collection.

Participants of this session will learn about the key issues to consider when using secondary data analysis as a method. This introductory session will briefly introduce the UK Data Service, explain what the research process looks like for a re-use project, and examine the issues of re-contextualisation, sampling, and consent.

We also cover a range of data types available, including data available through our Secure Lab.

This session will have practical demonstrations and gives you the opportunity to start looking for data which would be of interest for your next project.
