DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\nThe Skills at Library Café Hour is a supported 
 study session where you can practice information skills and ask us anything 
 about the key areas listed below. Each week will have a different 
 'spotlight skill' with optional learning exercises you can do on your own 
 or as a group. Café Hour is offered on Wednesday afternoons (during term 
 time) in the Albert Sloman Library\, Colchester Campus. (Online support is 
 offered as 1:1 appointment.)\n\n Key support covered:\n\n\n	Using the 
 Library & developing information literacy skills\n	Creating a search 
 strategy and getting organised\n	Finding sources using advanced search 
 techniques\n	How to 'unlock' information so it is more accessible\n	Best 
 practice for using sources ethically\n	How to verify information & check 
 the quality of sources\n	Referencing and avoiding academic 
 offenses\n	Sharing information inclusively\n\n\nThis week's spotlight 
 skill:\n\n\n	Accessing sources - featuring LibKey Nomad.\n\n\nWhat to 
 expect:\n\nCafé Hour takes place in a shared study space so students can 
 ask questions\, complete a learning activity\, or work independently on 
 coursework/assignments. Each week we highlight a different academic skill 
 and provide optional exercises\, so even if you don't have a burning 
 question\, you can still come along!\n\nHow to attend:\n\nCafé Hour is 
 offered as a drop-in\, so there's no need to book in advance.* Come along 
 anytime between 14.00-15.00 to get support with your library
